Flèche Vélocio
The Flèche Vélocio is a bike ride heading towards Easter in Provence. It meets certain criteria in terms of the number of cyclists and the number of kilometers covered within 24 hours
A bit of cycling history:
A Flèche Vélocio is a long-distance cycling excursion in France named after Paul de Vivie (1853-1930), a French cyclist better known as Vélocio. He is considered one of the founders of cycling tourism.
Regularly and for Easter, Vélocio would cycle down to Provence. After his death in 1930, and as a tribute to him, Pâques en Provence brought together cyclists who then finished their Flèche Vélocio there.
The Pascale concentration takes place every year in a different village in Provence. A medal is engraved to mark the event.

The organizer (Audax Club Parisien) defines the Flèche as the cycling excursion heading towards Easter in Provence.
Each team is composed of 3 to 5 bikes (a tandem is considered one bike), covering a minimum of 360 km over a 24-hour period.
The starting point can be anywhere in France, with a destination that must be in the direction of the Pascale concentration.
Each year, different challenges and trophies are up for grabs (highest mileage, number of women, club with the most approved cyclists).
Registration fees are a fifty euros per team. The Flèche Vélocio is included in the Randonneur 5.000 distinction.
