Lighting topic:
- Bike lighting for night-time randonnée.
Led Lenser lighting
- The specific headlight for the dynamo: Lumotec IQ X.
- The advantage of the dynamo hub powers the endurance cyclist's lighting.
- The electrical equipment of the bike for the long-distance touring cyclist.
In this context, let's see what the Led Lenser T7 has to offer:
The technical specifications of this lamp provided by Lenser are as follows:
- Luminous flux: 200 lumens
- Estimated range: 220 meters
- Estimated operating time: 120 hours
- Weight: 198 grams
- Length: 140 mm
The lamp comes with:
- a bike mount adaptable to different handlebar diameters
- a nylon case for carrying the lamp on the belt
- a wrist strap
- a set of 4 AAA LR3 batteries

Then mounting it on the bike:
As for the lighting performance, and after testing it for one night, we can say that the Led Lenser T7 can be used in two ways for cycling:
Riding solo or leading a group: the narrow beam allows you to see far ahead, whether in economical mode or not, depending on the technicality of the road or your need for lighting comfort.
Riding in a group, the wide beam in economical mode is very well adapted, as it allows you to light up the wheel of the rider in front of you. The full lighting mode, on the other hand, reflects too much light, while the narrow beam does not light up the road enough in front of the bike, making it difficult to maintain distance.
Switching from a wide beam to a narrow beam is done by sliding the head of the lamp back and forth, but it is important to have easy access to this part of the lamp, which is not always considered when mounting the bag or installing the lamp on the fork.
Alternative for more autonomy: the dynamo hub with the LED headlight Lumotec IQ X.
